Water Resistant HDF Scotia is used for covering the expansion along the outside edges of your flooring in wet areas such as kitchens, toilet areas etc. but can be used to cover expansion anywhere. Scotia is designed to be installed around the perimeter of the covered area of flooring, to cover the recommended expansion gap for the boards to be able to expand and contract ( see manufacturer's guidelines ). Fixing scotia after your flooring installation is completed with builders adhesive and/or a brad nailer.
